Special delivery

We have lumber! And windows! But the framers won't be around to start using it until hopefully next week. 

Progress... And a mess.

My friend sent us this pic last week when we were on vacation(thanks Kim):

Tonight I went over with the kids and we walked around inside, it was pretty fun. 

In the back right corner is our braker box, we had our electricity run last week as well as the walls poured.

The white posts sticking up are the rough in for our future basement bathroom. 

This is Madi laughing at me because I tried to step on the black garbage can to get out, in a skirt, and it didn't work too well. Oh well. 

We saw another family walking by that we met a couple months ago so we went to chat with them. Declan started throwing rocks in the water across the street with their little boy and this happened... Woops! 

Luckily we had seen madis kindergarten teacher out watering his lawn so we walked over to his house and he hosed Declan off. Thanks bob!! 

On the way home Declan said "mom, now I know to stay on the hard mud."

At least he learned something today!! 

We have a basement!!!

When we were driving into the development I wondered aloud if they would still be working in the rain. We rounded the corner to see this, YES they are working! 

When we pulled up Madi and I were pretty excited to see that we had a basement!! 

The last few days...

Last Thursday our footers were put in:

Today there were other materials there when we went by. They will pour the basement this week (if it ever stops raining): 

And mike called me at 8:15pm telling me about a deal on washers and dryers at lowes that ends tonight. So... When she got home at 9 I ran to lowes and bought a washer, dryer, ceiling fan, and garage door opener! We got a great deal on all of it (they're fourth or July sale was AWESOME!!) AND I had a 10% off coupon (of course)!

Basement posts are being poured!

I drove by with Declan and my nephew Sam today and we got to see the cement truck pouring our posts this morning! 

The project manager called to update me this morning and said they would be pouring our basement next week. It's a good thing we are only 2 miles from there so we can go check it out whenever we want!
